Worked only 10 hours today, and all it seems I did today was play host and talk on the phone. Made two crosses today, fiddled with some mokume gane, did 5 repair jobs, polished some pieces in process, sold and talked about jewelry the rest of the day. Tried to find a total of only 10 carats of diamonds. Fell short 1 carat on the day when one diamond in need being a 2ct emerald cut, D in color and at least VS1 in clarity with perfect pretty facets and righteous karma when it only turned out to be 1.72ct D VS1 I'm not sure it's big enough. Found two pair of great gem quality 1ct total weight earrings, 1.50 ct total weight diamond studs with a 0.75 matching stone for a pendant. Matched 100 little diamonds 1.25mm for a remount. Convinced Dee to match up 2 carat marginal earring studs for a seriously seriously low budget without throwing up, and finally I was not able to find an Ascher cut under 1 carat. Apparently, and this is just a guess on my part but after cutting the worlds largest diamond the Ascher Family threw out all scales that measured under 1 carat. Proof that hanging out with big rocks changes you.
Left early to watch my soap Nip/Tuck, I still think Julia is the carver. |
