Today the morning reminded me of Hawaii. Cool clean washed air from storms that lit the sky like paparazzi at the Oscars, and the warm summer blanket of Del Sol. The store stayed upbeat because I've made a promise to myself to stop with words of curse, a few slipped out. I am what I am, just trying to do better.

After the store closed today we went to the park to look for Trilobites. While at the park I hobbled to the soccer fields to kick only with my left foot because,...

The DSSA (Deerfield Street Soccer Association) called to the field on Tuesday for rematch. Mike did not like the suggestions of defeat in the last game so keeping in line with past tactics employed a few ruffians and emailed me to tell me about it.  Actual transmission>Hi Pete,         Captain Mike Bloody is gunning for you!!!  PS: I invited my goalie friend from CTIA           See you tonight,    Mike <  Goalie Manboy didn't show but, Varsity players turned coaches, a guy who was in the special forces, a pack of red runners, and some angry kids all formed a wall. Mike was in the middle smiling. Consolation prize we didn't have to wear the pennies.

We held the line with a lead of two goals because of the passing Kratzes, and a few well placed shots by Nick but, Greg had enough by this point and put an end to our momentum by guiding one kick across the field,  that bounced over the defense, and rolled into the goal. Mike almost scored right after that  but I got the ball away from him at the expense of my right foot. 

...So I'm back at the park and being force to use my left leg, and I'm beginning to like lefty. The moral of this weeks DSSA Tuesday night: Injury only fine tunes the weak.
