Maximilian, Our new Sheltie baby                                                January 2006

After Christmas, we adopted a new Sheltie baby after losing our other Sheltie, Kobe, to cancer this past year.  Maximilian, or Max, as we call him is a bundle of white, brown and a little bit of black.  He is a little bundle of fuzzy love.

Max has been coming into the shop with us and seems to really enjoy meeting and greeting our clients.  The only problem is he is ready to go home with them and tries to follow them out of the shop, so we mostly keep him in the backroom with us.  He is either full throttle (we call that Mad Max mode) or napping and he loves to cuddle.

For all of the trouble a new puppy can bring, I forgot how much I love the soft puppy cuddles and the sweet little puppy kisses.  Dogs are just great companions and friends and I know they make me a happier person on a daily basis.

If you are in the shop and would like to meet Max, just ask and we can bring him out for a little cuddle.

www.freewebs.com/falmist/index.htm     This link is to the wonderful people who are responsible for Maximilian, 'Max,' the Amazing Sheltie!  He is not only a great-looking dog, he is extremely smart, agile, gentle and loving.  At the same time, he is very energetic and will herd anything he is encouraged to herd.  If you are not familiar with Shelties and are looking for a family dog, these special animals are simply the best!  I looked all over the United States for many months after we lost our last Sheltie, Kobe, to find the perfect new family member, Max.  Stop in our shop and visit with Max if you have any doubts, but I have no doubts in recommending this breeder and family of Shelties.  (And just in case you are wondering, no I do not have any influence in whether or not they feel you are an appropriate placement for one of their wonderful Shelties, nor do I receive any sort of commission from them.)
